FUE Hair Transplants UK

In 2018, technology has advanced so much so that there are now robots in use for FUE transplants. These can sometimes be more precise and higher quality compared to manually extracting each follicle. FUEure module 2 dates will be released to international doctors. Open to Medically qualified doctors who have completed Module 1.
Before your FUE hair transplant procedure, you will receive a list of instructions on how to prepare for the surgery day. These may vary clinic by clinic, and your doctor will consider your medical history too. FUE hair transplant Some clinics offer hair transplants with FUE and FUE combined. Using the techniques combined is typically discussed and decided in advance. The most popular method is the FUE hair transplantation treatment.

The decision on which is best takes into account a number of factors including cost and extent of hair loss. FUE is overtaking FUE as the standard procedure due to medical and technical advancements. The clinic and surgeon will recommend which method is most suitable during consultation.
Female pattern baldness is triggered by male hormones which spike during puberty and after menopause, when levels of the female hormones are weakened. This spike in androgens becomes converted to DHT as a result of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase – and this then starts to influence susceptible hairs. The results are permanent in the places new hair has been transplanted. But male pattern baldness is an ongoing condition, and in most cases you’ll need to maintain the effect with more transplants from other areas that are shedding hair.

The last part of the procedure is implanting the grafts in the incisions made on the recipient area. For FUE, the back and sides of the head may need to be shaved. At the end of surgery there will be multiple small round wounds, each about a millimetre in diameter, which will heal without the need for sutures. These small round wounds will likely leave small round scars which will be visible if the hair is completely shaved. Hence FUE is not ‘scar-less’ surgery and should not be advertised as such. As this is your pre-existing natural hair, simply moved from one area to another, it will grow as normal and is completely permanent.
All our hair surgeons have relevant qualifications in hair transplants and participate in every hair transplant procedure. In both methods the recipient area is prepared using a sharp instrument to define the exact point of implant for each graft. Each follicular units is then sown and grow to be a new and healthy hair.
The grafts are left in a sterile solution until the incisions are made by Dr Sciacca. Many people worry that they will have to shave their head before an FUE transplant, but actually it can be performed with little to no head-shaving involved. If you have long hair and are thinking about FUE surgery, rest assured that you won’t need to have your head shaved. In fact, as FUE can leave some scarring, having longer hair can help disguise this.

After your FUE procedure, you will be shown a short presentation video advising you how to care for your transplanted hair. We recommend you are returned home by a friend, taxi or public transport. MHR Clinic specialises in Follicular Unit Transplantation hair transplants.
As a FUE transplant involves removing a narrow strip of scalp from the donor area, there will be a small linear scar as a result. This will only be visible, however, if you plan on keeping your hair very short. If you want to find out more about hair transplant scars, read our blog. Thankfully, no, a hair transplant is not a painful procedure.

This is mainly due to the time the grafts are out the body, it is slightly longer with FUE. However, as with FUE we can pick the follicles producing more hairs, visually there is little aesthetic difference in the long run. Patients s
